Two-seat electric car with plastic body. Built in Norway, set for introduction in some Nordic countries early next year.

BMW C1
Motorcycle with hardtop and carlike features such as seat belt and windshield wiper. To be priced around $5,400, it's due out early next year.

BMW/MERCEDES MOTORCYCLE-CARS
A hybrid, the vehicles automatically lean into curves and have room for a passenger behind the driver. Still under design.

DAIMLERCHRYSLER SMART
Diesel and convertible versions, in the $10,700 range. Due out in coming months to extend current smart line of plastic-bodied two-seaters.

MERCEDES KOMFORTSESSEL
Electric-powered armchair on wheels for one person. Still in experimental stage at this point, designed to test new technology.
