Jockeying for Supremacy in Game Land Sony Has slashed retail price on its top-selling PlayStation to $99 and is beefing up U.S. marketing. It hopes the more powerful PlayStation 2, which uses the DVD format, will be out next year. Sega Its new Dreamcast machine, with graphics four times faster than a Pentium II-based PC, is four times more powerful than the Sony PlayStation. WIth advance orders breaking records, it could become the industry leader. Nintendo The giant of the early 1990s aims to regain lead with its DVD-based Dolphin system, but it won't be out until 2001. Nintendo has improved graphics and cut prices on its popular N64, as well as the Game Boy.
