'We Would Jump for Joy If We Had Only a 50% Car Tax' (int'l edition)

In ''The traffic jam just got a lot worse'' (Asian Business, Jan. 25), you state: ''India's car tax is the highest in the world,'' and refer to a 50% rate. In Denmark, we would jump for joy if we had only a 50% car tax. Denmark taxes automobiles at 180% of their purchase price. That should give us the ''honor'' of being the highest in the world.
