'Few leagues of their own' (Sports Business, Jan. 18)

''Few leagues of their own'' (Sports Business, Jan. 18) contained factual errors. The Women's Fastpitch League is now called the Women's Pro Softball League. The Orlando Wahoos, the league champions, did not go bankrupt, but play was suspended. And the salary cap was $100,000, not $72,000. In addition, Jennifer Rottenberg, who was involved in efforts to start a women's soccer league, was a consultant, not a founder, and never told BUSINESS WEEK that the U.S. Soccer Federation was ''hostile'' to the notion of a women's league.
