EUROPE'S TOP B-SCHOOLS DESERVE THEIR RANKINGS, TOO (int'l edition)

It looks as if a lot of work has been done to rate U.S. schools, but your report on schools in Europe seemed incomplete, especially in not taking into account IESE, International Graduate School of Management, in Barcelona (''The best B-schools,'' Special Report, Oct. 19). The school is famous for its case-based method of teaching and as a hunting ground for consultancies and financial institutions of repute. This year, 41 countries are represented in its class of 2000. I would not have taken the trouble to communicate if IESE was ranked lower than what the school thinks it deserves. But the fact that your report did not even mention IESE troubled me.
