MORRIS CHANG MORRIS CHANG, CEO of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, isn't worried about the roiled Asian markets. Since Chang, 66, founded TSMC in the mid-'80s, he has created one of the world's leading chipmakers by supplying U.S. and international giants with his incredible shrinking circuits. The company forecasts '97 earnings of $535 million on $1.3 billion in sales. With customers such as Texas Instruments and Siemens clamoring for its chips, TSMC should have another banner year. And as more chipmakers outsource to cut costs, it should keep right on growing.
