CUTTING CORD MESSSupplying power to home entertainment and computer systems can mean a shortage of outlets and a tangle of cords. Two new products from Newpoint (800 639-7646 or 619 677-5700) will clean up the mess--and provide protection from surges and lightning. The $119 Theater Hub provides five outlets controlled by a master switch, three unswitched outlets, and lightning protection for a phone line and for cable and satellite feeds. The $250 Theater Director adds twice as much spike protection and automatic shutdown for voltage variances.
