Java's Head of Steam in Two Years A survey of 279 corporations has found that: 97% will use Java for server-based applications. 84% will develop new applications in Java. 75% will use Java to extend the life--and usefulness--of existing applications. 58% plan to have on staff from 1 to 10 full-time Java developers. 21% of corporate spending on software development will be Java-related--nearly double the 13% expected in the next six months.
