CAREER 1985-1988 Was a marketing manager at Intellicorp, which developed artificial intelligence software. 1989-1996 Joined Sun Microsystems as a product manager. She named and promoted Java, the hot programming language. 1996-present Co-founded Marimba Inc., an Internet-software company, where she is now CEO.
