GOODBYE GLARE?

In recent studies, eye doctors report that about 12% of their patients complain of computer-related eye strain. Most recommend that their patients shield computer screens from overhead light and light from adjacent windows. A California company has come up with a practical way to solve the problem. DAP Enterprises (818 786-3295) sells a $5.99 black cardboard shield that fits 14-, 15-, and 17-inch monitors, depending on where you fold the scores on the cardboard. Adhesive tabs hold it in place. For $2 more, there's a version for laptop computers.
