Demand from users of such services is fueling the boom in modem sales. ROCKWELL AND LUCENT have 70% of the companies that sell modems and personal computers, including Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, and Toshiba, as well as modem makers Hayes, Xircom, and Zoom.
