New Year's Revolution
As of Jan. 1, Congress authorized a new class of high-deductible health
insurance specifically for the self-employed and workers at small companies.
Already, dozens of insurers have begun offering such policies. These products,
linked to medical savings accounts administered by the insurer or an associated
bank, all have a $1,500 individual and $3,000 family annual deductible.
