OFFICE REVISIONS

A number of readers have written with concerns about the ability of older versions of Microsoft Office to read files produced by Office 97. New features, including live Web links in documents, require new file formats that are incompatible with earlier versions. The catch: When you save in the old format, you lose the new features. You can't have everything.
