How Much Can You Deduct?

Medical expenses above 7.5% of adjusted gross income are tax deductible. As of 
Jan.1, long-term-care insurance premiums can be included as medical expenses up 
to the following individual limits:

AGE               DEDUCTION*
40 AND YOUNGER      $200
41-50                375
51-60                750
61-70              2,000
70 AND OLDER       2,500

* Deductions will increase annually, adjusted for the medical care component of 
the consumer price index
