CASEY G. COWELLHe's chairman of the hottest U.S. modem manufacturer. Thanks to the explosion of computer networks, CASEY G. COWELL's U.S. Robotics saw revenues explode to $889 million in 1995, up from $378.6 million in '94. Cowell, 43, built new plants and designed faster modems. He also bid for bankrupt Hayes Microcomputer Products, once the country's largest modem maker. Cowell is shooting for a $5 billion company by 2000.
