APPLE'S ASPIRATIONSWhile desktop computers are getting better at displaying three-dimensional graphics, creating the images is largely a job for powerful workstations such as those from Silicon Graphics Inc. Now, however, Apple Computer Inc. is hoping to make the Macintosh a major player in this market by introducing the QuickDraw 3D accelerator card.
